After an insane week of Inman Connect and never taking a day off of work (New Yorkers at the conference: I’m sure you can commiserate), I’ve finally gotten the chance to take in what everyone was talking about during the past week’s proclivities and festivities. One part I completely missed was REBarCamp, “an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees,” according to the website.

There are great pics from what seemed to be a truly educational event (I have to take the speakers and panels on a case-by-case basis).
A refreshingly brief interview of Deanna Brown of Scripps International was a wonderful break from the less-than-positive MLS talk that preceded her. What a sassy lady! I am so glad that the Inman folks are looking outside of the RE inner circle to hear about the rest of media production/consumption/interaction these days.
And on an unrelated but New York-specific note, the New York Post noted a proposal to the city that would require all new buildings in the NY area to have adequate indoor bike storage. Hallelujah for the #1 Worst City for Bike Theft! What if every city made this a mandate?
